These terms apply when you use ETPrep, the study app made by Kraft Dynamics ("we"). By using ETPrep you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.
1. What ETPrep is
ETPrep helps students in grades 9 to 12 practise for class tests and the Grade 12 National Exam (Matric), formally the Ethiopian Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination. It includes practice questions, explanations, past national exam papers, study plans and progress estimates.
ETPrep is independent. It is not made, approved or endorsed by the Ministry of Education or the Educational Assessment and Examinations Service. Exam dates shown in the app are estimates until officially announced.
2. Who can use it
ETPrep is meant for students aged 13 and over. You may use it without an account. If you sign in, keep access to your email secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
3. Using ETPrep fairly
Please do not:
- copy, sell or republish ETPrep's questions, explanations or artwork, except to share your own results or badges;
- try to break into, overload or reverse-engineer our server or the app;
- use ETPrep to cheat in a real exam;
- send false question reports or false payment proof;
- make extra accounts to collect invite rewards.
We may suspend access for anyone who does.
4. Questions and results
We work hard to keep questions and answer keys correct, and you can report any question from inside the app. Some questions come from past national exams and textbooks; they belong to their owners and are used for study purposes. Readiness figures and study plans are estimates to help you study. They are not a promise of any exam result.
5. Free bites and the Exam pass
Every day you get a number of free study bites. After that you can watch a short ad for each extra bite, or buy an Exam pass. Reviews and past papers stay free.
In the version of ETPrep we distribute directly, you can buy an Exam pass by bank transfer, for one of the plans shown in the app (for example one month, three months, or until exam day). A pass gives unlimited bites and no ads until its end date. When you send your payment details, the pass may start straight away while we check the payment by hand, usually within a day. If we cannot match the payment to the bank record, the pass stops and we tell you in the app. Buying again while a pass is running adds the new time to the end. Refund requests are handled case by case: write to etprep@kraftdynamics.com. Versions downloaded from Google Play or the App Store do not sell passes.
6. Invites
You can invite friends with your invite code. A friend counts when they enter your code within 14 days of making their account, on their own phone, and then study on 3 different days within 14 days. When 3 friends count you get a free week of Exam pass time, and when 10 count you get a free month. Each reward is given once per school year (starting in September). Invite rewards are pass time only: they have no cash value and cannot be exchanged. We may cancel invites and rewards that come from fake accounts or shared phones.
7. Sponsored passes
A company or organisation may pay for Exam passes for a group of students. A sponsored pass works like one you bought, and the app may show the sponsor's name with it. A code that is not claimed may be given to another student at the same school. The sponsor sees group figures only, as described in our privacy policy. Sponsors agree their own terms with us.
8. Ads
ETPrep is free and is paid for by ads from Google AdMob. Ads are provided by Google and its partners. We do not control each ad, but we ask for family-friendly ads only. See our privacy policy.
9. Our content
The app, its design, Walia and the other artwork, and the explanations we wrote belong to Kraft Dynamics. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use ETPrep for your own study.
10. Availability
We may change, add or remove features and questions. We try to keep ETPrep working, including offline, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
11. Limits of our responsibility
ETPrep is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for exam results, lost study time, or losses caused by using or not being able to use the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
12. Ending
You can stop using ETPrep at any time and delete your data as described in the privacy policy. We may end or suspend access if these terms are broken.
13. App stores
If you downloaded ETPrep from the App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply. Apple and Google are not responsible for ETPrep or its support.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
15. Changes and contact
